For A Friend

Though we've never actually met,
I consider you my closest friend.
You're someone I can talk to,
About anything and everything.
You've cheered me up in my darkest moments,
And I've done the same for you.
I let you see beneath the surface.
You are always there to support me,
And give me good advice.
You always seem to know when something's wrong.
I can't fool you with fake words and assurances.
And that's more than I can say,
For the people I see every day.
